Part 2: Consumer Information for Individuals
Pre-contractual information pursuant to Art. 246a EGBGB (Introductory Act to the German Civil Code) for the platform contract between you and FaceLedger. This information is available before registration and becomes part of the contract.
1. Provider: Faceledger UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Kurhessenstraße 10, 60431 Frankfurt am Main, hello@faceledger.ai (identity, address and contact as in the legal notice).
2. Essential characteristics of the service: FaceLedger provides a platform through which you can create a structured photo dataset of your appearance, define your approvals and exclusions, and receive, accept or reject licensing requests from verified companies. FaceLedger verifies identities, generates and documents the license agreements between you and the company, and processes payment. FaceLedger is not a party to the license agreements. The advertising materials are generated by the companies using their own AI tools; FaceLedger cannot technically monitor compliance with the license agreements (details: § 2 of the Terms of Use for Individuals).
3. Prices and remuneration: Registration and use of the platform are free of charge for you. If you accept a licensing request, you receive a flat 65% of the license price; the remaining 35% is FaceLedger's commission and is withheld from the license price. The price and your share are shown to you before each acceptance. Payout: 14 days after acceptance via the payment service provider Stripe (prerequisite: verification and bank details held there).
4. Conclusion of the contract: The platform contract is concluded upon completion of registration. The technical steps leading to this: entering your email address and password, confirming that you are of legal age and agree to the Terms of Use, and submitting the registration; you can identify and correct your entries at any time before submitting via the input fields. We confirm receipt of the registration without undue delay by email. Each license agreement is concluded through your acceptance of a request and is binding for the term of the campaign; you are separately informed of this before each acceptance.
5. Contract term and termination: The platform contract runs for an indefinite period; you can terminate it at any time (account deletion), FaceLedger with a notice period of four weeks (§ 13 of the Terms of Use). Account deletion is excluded as long as active licenses or open requests exist.
6. Right of withdrawal: For the platform contract, you have the statutory right of withdrawal (14 days). Details, consequences and the model withdrawal form: Annexes 1 and 2 of the Terms of Use for Individuals. There is no statutory right of withdrawal for individual license agreements, as you do not make any payment there; your rights to withdraw your consent remain unaffected.
7. Warranty: The statutory provisions for digital products apply (§§ 327 et seq. BGB (German Civil Code)), including our obligation to provide you with the updates necessary to maintain conformity with the contract (§ 327f BGB).
8. Contract text, language, codes of conduct: The contract text (Terms of Use in the accepted version) is stored and can be retrieved in your account; license agreements are provided as a PDF. The contract language is German. FaceLedger has not subjected itself to any specific code of conduct.
9. Complaints: report@faceledger.ai; response within 14 days. Consumer dispute resolution: see the legal notice (§ 36 VSBG).
10. Functionality and interoperability (digital service): The platform is browser-based and can be used with current versions of common browsers on desktop and mobile devices; no special hardware or software is required. Technical protection measures (DRM) are not used. You can retrieve your data at any time as a structured export (JSON).
